Demi Lovato’s Boyfriend, Max Ehrich, May Propose Post-Coronavirus

Could wedding bells be in Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich’s future? A source who knows the couple believes so.

The insider told Us Weekly, “Max plans to propose to Demi after this whole pandemic is resolved and their families wouldn’t be surprised by the proposal. They think they make a great couple.”

Another source for the outlet revealed that things between Ehrich and Lovato are “getting really serious,” especially since they’re self-isolating together amid California’s stay-at-home orders to combat COVID-19. “The quarantine has been really great for Demi and her and Max have gotten so close,” the source said. “She’s doing a great job at staying sober, healthy and taking care of herself.”

Their relationship was unofficially confirmed when Lovato accidentally walked in on Ehrich’s Instagram Live. Fans were quick to note her presence.

Lovato previously dated Wilmer Valderrama for six years. In our May 2020 cover story, she reveals that she focused on herself after their relationship ended.

“I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time,” she says. “But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be okay on my own. When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don’t really get to learn about yourself.”
