Emma Thompson delighted fans as she was seen “living her best life” and dancing in the aisles on ITV's An Audience With Adele.

The A-list actress was leapt out of her seat to dance to Adele's chart-topping tunes during Sunday night's one-off special.

At one point, she also started urging other stars in the crowd to do the same, clicking her fingers and saying “come on”, before taking to the aisle and cheering with her arms in the air as the Oscar winner belted out Rolling in the Deep.

The 62 year old Nanny McPhee actress looked as though she was having the time of her life as she let loose alongside Adele's close pal Alan Carr and Idris Elba.

Eagled-eye viewers spotted her in the crowd and took to Twitter to share their love for the actress’ passion for Adele’s legendary music.

One viewer tweeted: “#EmmaThompson keeps catching my eye” with laughing face emojis.

Another viewer asked: “So when will Emma Thompson sign up for Strictly?”

Emma’s husband, Greg Wise, appeared on the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing with Karen Hauer, but the duo were eliminated in week three.

Radio presenter, Nick Grimshaw, even added: “ITV make a show about Emma Thompson’s dancing #AnAudienceWithAdele.”

When Adele called upon Emma for a question, she commented: “I’ve seen you all night dancing, you’ve been dancing all night.”

As a quick "sub-question", Emma asked: “underneath that beautiful frock are you wearing socks?”

The megastar admitted she was wearing tights that kept rolling down at the crotch, to which Emma replied: “I thought I couldn’t love you more but now of course I do.”

The actress continued to ask: “When you were younger, was there someone who kind of supported you, inspired you, protected you from all the trials and tribulations of life and inspired you to go on?”

Adele then began to recount a lasting impression that a teacher, Miss McDonald, had left on her life after inspiring her with a lifelong love of literature.

She said: “She was so b***** cool, so engaging, so she really made us care and she used to care about is.”

Before, Emma revealed the emotional news that the inspirational teacher was in the audience. Adele burst into tears as she embraced her old supporter who she hadn’t seen since was twelve years old.

Adele sobbed as she briefly caught up with her teacher and handed the mic to Alan Carr to give a brief rendition of Make You Feel My Love as she had her make up touched up.
