The Little Car Company has re-created a Tamiya Wild One RC car you can actually drive.
Unlike the original 1/10th scale version, the new Wild One Max comes in a gigantic 8/10th scale, and is so large that you won’t even need a remote control — because you can just get in and drive it. The entire off-roader spans 3.5m long, 1.5m wide and weighs around a whopping 250kg, making it a truly one-of-a-kind collectible for RC lovers. The best part is, you’ll even get to assemble all the parts yourself at home, including its polycarbonate bathtub chassis, metal roll cage, coilovers, oil-filled shocks and trailing-arm rear suspension, Brembo disc brakes, and 15-inch wheels.
As for performance, the Wild One Max can push a peak power of 5.5 horsepower through its rear wheels, reaching a top speed of 30mph and a maximum range of 25 miles. The company also teases future upgrades to increase these specs or convert it into a road-legal drive in certain countries.
For the diehard RC fans out there, the Little Car Company’s Tamiya Wild One Max is now available for pre-order over on its website for a deposit of just £100 GBP (approx $139 USD). The entire price tag will set you back £6,000 GBP, and the vehicle is expected to launch next year.
Elsewhere in the automotive world, Aston Martin is paying tribute to its DBR1 with a limited-edition V12 Speedster.
