2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill has hinted that one of this year's contestants was "talking to her friend" before they entered the villa.
In the Tweet the popular Love Islander claimed that rookie 2021 competitor Brad McClelland may have been getting to know one of Amber's pals.
The juggernaut show finally kicked off on Monday after months of bubbling anticipation with viewers seeing the first pairing-up of the season.
However fans of the show were left fuming after ITV Hub appeared to go down during the final countdown to the beginning of the show.
Thankfully the boffins at ITV seemed to get everything ticking over just in time for the start at 9pm and the epic summer dating show could finally swing into action.
Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Sharon Gaffka, Faye Winter and Shannon Singh were first to appear followed by the boys, Jake Cornish, Aaron Francies, Hugo Hammond, Toby Aromolaran and Brad.
Brad proved to be the most popular pick for the girls with three stepping forward when he came forward to choose his favourite girl.
Liberty, who had alread coupled up with Jake; Faye, who was already coupled up with Toby; and singleton Sharon all showed an interest in the Northumberland labourer.
And in the end, he opted for Faye – her third selection that day, but it was a Tweet from previous winner Amber that helped stoke even more interest in the man that lives with his gran.
In her post she wrote: ‘Brad was speaking to one of my friends at some point. But let’s keep that between me you. Love u bye."
She then followed the cryptic Tweet up with: "WAS a little while ago. I’m not rating anyone out I just thought it was a fun fact."
The geordie then decided to delete the Tweet and instead posted: "I forgot myself for a second there. Lemme just get rid of that."
Monday's show closed with a voice note from new girl Chloe Burrows, the new contestant who viewers will meet on Tuesday will certainly ruffle some feathers.
In the message she announced: ""Hey boys. How are you? Chloe here. I’ve just arrived and I’m outside the front of the Villa. I’d like to take you all on a date but I’ll let you guys decide who wants to come and join me. Hopefully I’ll see you soon."
