Bridgerton: Adjoa Andoh discusses Lady Danbury's future
Bridgerton is a popular romance period drama series which first arrived on Netflix on Christmas Day 2020.
The series is based on the Bridgerton books by Julia Quinn and the first instalment followed the eldest daughter, Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor).
In the first season Daphne formed an unlikely relationship with Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) and they ended up happily married.
Fans will be delighted to hear the scandalous Shonda Rhimes drama has officially been renewed for a second season.
The second season will see the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), find love as it plans to draw inspiration from The Viscount Who Loved Me.
Filming will take place in the UK this spring and casting is already underway to find an actress to play Anthony’s love interest, Kate Sheffield.
There is no official release date yet but fans can hope for another Christmas release, providing there are no complications amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The news was revealed in the form of a society paper by the notorious Lady Whistledown.
