An EastEnders actor has been arrested on suspicion of a child sex offence.
The 56-year-old actor, who hails from London, has been released on bail but cannot be named for legal reasons.
The man has appeared on the long-running BBC soap multiple times and often plays an official figure, reports The Sun.

He has reportedly spent years working in the TV industry and has also shared photos of himself on the BBC set.
The man was on Sunday 23 April but has been released on bail until June while enquiries continue.
The Metropolitan Police wrote in a statement: "On Sunday, 23 April a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a child.
"He was taken into police custody and has since been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late June. Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
