Harry Redknapp has landed a role on EastEnders, Daily Star can reveal.
The ex-football manager, 74, is joining the cast after months of talks.
Our exclusive snaps show him at the soap’s set in Elstree, Herts, last week.
Harry has been filming scenes alongside show regular Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter, and newcomer Brian Conley, who has joined as Terry Cant.
Show chiefs are set to make an announcement about their big-name signing within weeks and he will make his debut this summer.
It is a dream job for Harry because he is a massive fan of the show.
Earlier this year he admitted he was desperate to join the cast.
He said: "My ambition for 2021 is to get a part in EastEnders because I’m a real EastEnder. I grew up in Poplar, so I have a real affinity with the area."
He added: "I’ve already written the script so now all the show’s bosses need to do is to call me up. I’d like to be in it for a year — before they bump me off or something."
I’m A Celebrity winner Harry is the latest in a long line of household names to star on EastEnders.
Over the years bosses have hired singer Martin Kemp, comedian Bobby Davro, entertainer Shane Richie and Carry On legend Barbara Windsor.
The show has also featured cameos including one by Boris Johnson before he became Prime Minister.
Harry has never acted before, but he drew the attention of the soap’s creators when he wrote out an actual script for his fantasy entrance to Albert Square.
In it, Queen Vic landlord Mick tells the locals on a typical day in the Vic that the former Spurs boss has returned to his roots and moved back to the area.
Harry then swings open the door and the pub’s landlord reveals to a slew of shocked faces that they’ve gone into business together.
The King of the Jungle was originally born in east London’s Poplar area, and played for football clubs West Ham and Spurs before going on to manage both.
