Martin Lewis, the founder of money saving expert, guest hosted Good Morning Britain this morning, to the joy of many fans.
He tweeted: “OK first bit done. Still paranoid about my lisp. But hope it's going OK" at 8am when he had completed his first part of the show.
Fans overwhelmed him with support as they said: “I hope @GMB keep asking you back. This is the first time I've enjoyed GMB in years.’
They hailed him: "Excellent as a presenter.”
Another added:”You're doing a brilliant job, well done. Probably the best presenter GMB have had, guest or otherwise”
A fan said: “First time in ages I’ve been looking forward to a guest presenter! Straight forward without any pomp and a sense of humour- refreshing!
Another tweeted: “You are smashing this Martin. A breath of fresh air. Also.. No tie needed.”
Another fan said:” It’s so nice to see Martin Lewis presenting GMB today he’s a breath of fresh air. He’s smart, confident and speaks his mind well done Martin for making this show today.”
A fan added: “Martin, you're doing great! It's so nice to have a presenter on who is not full of his own self-importance. It's such a shame you won't be a permanent fixture. Keep up the good work!!”

Martin's tweet currently has over 3000 likes so there are also calls for him to return to the show regularly.
Martin later tweeted: “My first of three @gmb guest presenting shifts this week done. I hope it worked for you, bit if a baptism of fire @susannareid100 and the team very generous with their help and support.
Before the show aired he had asked if he really needed to wear a tie as he prefers not to.
The Good Morning Britain twitter ran a poll that said: Are you happy if our guest presenter @MartinSLewis doesn’t wear a tie?
He says, ‘as I normally talk money, I try to look smart on TV but never corporate, so it’s clear whose side I'm on’.
Yet #GMB is usually a tie programme. He's happy to let you decide…
Then allowed viewers to choose either ‘He should wear a tie.’

Or ‘He needn’t wear a tie.’
The poll came out as 89.5% deciding that he needn't wear a tie.
Martin finally tweeted: “There have been some very kind comments about my appearance this morning. I'm no good with compliments so I'll just say thank you.
