A woman received the fright of her life after her friend’s pet guinea pig crawled its way into her hairpiece.

Desmon Tolliver, 19, from Dekalb, Illinois, had been trying to help his friend Kenya Washington, 21, overcome her fear of his eight-week-old pet Skai Hogan when the event took an unexpected turn. 

The rodent managed to make its way from Ms Washington’s shoulder into her wig and left her screaming as her friends rushed to her aid.

During the clip, which has now received 1.9million likes on TikTok, a terrified Ms Washington screams as the guinea pig crawls into her hair.

A friend then reaches into Ms Washington’s hair and tries to pull the rodent out as others are heard laughing in the background.

Mr Tolliver, who was also joined by his friends Amarah and Makayla, later explained that he had been trying to encourage Ms Washington ‘get more comfortable’ with Skai when the rodent crawled into her wig. 

He said: ‘We wanted to help Kenya get more comfortable with Skai, so Makayla placed the guinea pig on Kenya’s shoulder, and when we went to grab her, she started crawling up the back of Kenya’s wig.

‘We all started laughing and then proceeded to help get the guinea pig out of the wig.

‘The guinea pig was removed unharmed and it was a funny experience.’
